Food is the most crossover-friendly branch in Infinite Craft. Almost every other category touches it — animals give you meat, plants give you fruit, technology gives you genetically modified food, and mythology gives you ambrosia. That makes food recipes both easy to start (the base element is two combinations away) and deep to finish (there are over a hundred food-related elements in the game).
This page collects the food chains that matter most. It is not every dish the game can produce — it is the recipes that unlock new branches, plus the specific foods most players search for. If you have not built Life in Infinite Craft yet, that helps but is not required — Food is reachable from the four starting elements alone.
🍞 The three basics — bread, cheese, and the kitchen itself
Almost every recipe in the food branch runs through one of three foundation elements: Food (the base resource), Bread (the most-used mid-tier ingredient), and Cooking (the element that unlocks the kitchen branch). Build these first and everything else becomes reachable.
The base element. Every recipe on this page starts with Food in your library. The fastest route runs through Engine and Tractor.
The most-used mid-tier food. Bread combines with over forty other elements. It is required for sandwiches, burgers, and most Western dishes.
The kitchen branch. Cooking unlocks Chef, Recipe, and the entire restaurant chain. It is the gateway to professional food recipes.
Required for the Japanese cuisine branch. Sushi combines with Sushi to make Sashimi, with Roll to make Maki, and with Weed to make Wasabi.
Two working routes. Pizza combines with Italy to unlock the Italian branch, and with Volcano to make Pepperoni Pizza.

The main cheese recipe in the game. Cheese combines with Bread to make Cheese Toast, and with Software to make Cheesecake.

Hole comes from Donut + Donut. Bagel combines with Cream Cheese to make Classic Bagel, and with Lox to make Lox Bagel.

🍕 Mains — savory dishes and full meals
Main dishes are the heart of the food branch. Most of them use Bread or Meat as the base and build outward. Pizza is the most important of the group — it combines with over thirty other elements and unlocks the Italian cuisine branch.
The gateway main dish. Pizza combines with Pineapple, Pepperoni, and Cheese to open the pizza branch, and with Italy to unlock the country's cuisine.
The American branch. Burger combines with Cheese, Bacon, and Fast Food to open the entire fast-food tree, including the Baconator.
The Italian branch. Pasta combines with Tomato Sauce to make Spaghetti, with Meat to make Bolognese, and with Cheese to make Mac and Cheese.

The dessert branch is the most cross-category of the food recipes. Cake is the anchor element — it combines with Birthday, Party, and Festival to unlock the celebration branch. Cookie is second — it gates the entire bakery tree.

Desserts are the most visually distinct part of the food branch — the elements are colorful and often combine with abstract concepts like Celebration and Happiness.

The drink branch is the most cross-category of all food recipes. Tea is the anchor — it comes from Plant + Steam and combines with over fifty other elements. Coffee is second — it gates the café branch and several meme recipes.

World cuisine is where food recipes meet the geography branch. Sushi requires Japan, Taco requires Mexico, and Croissant requires France. Each one opens a different country's culinary tree.

Start with Food itself. The fastest route runs through Farm: Water + Fire = Steam, Steam + Fire = Engine, Engine + Earth = Tractor, Tractor + Earth = Farm, then Farm + Plant = Food. Once you have Food, Bread and Cheese are one combination away.
The engine sometimes returns a nearby result depending on context. If Moon + Mud gives something unexpected, try Milk + Fire instead. Both are accepted by the engine, and one usually works when the other does not. For more combining troubleshooting, see the FAQ page.

No. Every element on this page is reachable from the four starting elements alone. Life in Infinite Craft does use Plant as an ingredient, but Plant is one of the first elements you build — you do not need Life first, you need Plant first.
