How to Make Anime in Infinite Craft — Japan + America Recipe

The obvious guess does not work. Japan + Cartoon produces nothing. The real answer is Japan + America — or, for a shortcut, Manga + Japan. Both routes share the same long Japan chain, and both end with the same result. This guide walks through every combination, including the Sushi detour most players miss, so you can reach Anime without an hour of trial and error.

Short answer: Combine Japan + America to get Anime. There is also a shorter route through Manga + Japan. Japan requires eight steps — Land + Sushi is the last one. America requires five — Continent + Lake is the last one.

🎌 Anime

Anime is a gateway element, not an endpoint. Once it lands in your library, the engine treats it as a category marker — over forty character recipes open up, from Naruto and Goku to Sailor Moon and Luffy.

Most players spend about twenty minutes on this chain the first time. The bottleneck is almost always Japan, not America. America takes five combinations. Japan takes eight — and four of them are the Sushi detour, which feels unrelated until you realise the engine is building a cuisine before it builds a country.

🗾 Why "how to make Japan" is the real question

Every search for anime recipes eventually turns into a search for Japan. America is easy — five combinations from Lake to Continent. Japan is the hard part: eight steps that loop through Seaweed, Sushi, and Venus Flytrap before the game will produce the country name.

The good news: every intermediate element is reusable. Seaweed feeds into food recipes, Venus Flytrap feeds into plant recipes, and Continent — which you build for America anyway — gets reused for Land. Nothing here is wasted.

Both chains start from the same four basic elements. Build them in parallel — Continent is needed for both America and Land, and Ocean appears four separate times in the Japan chain. Keep everything on your canvas until Anime lands.

Lake + Water → Ocean
Ocean + Earth → Island
Island + Island → Continent
Continent + Lake → America
Earth + Earth → Mountain
Earth + Continent → Land
Plant + Water → Swamp

Seaweed + Mountain → Sushi
Land + Sushi → Japan

⚠️ Mistakes that waste your time

  • Trying Japan + Cartoon. Cartoon is a real element, but it does not combine with Japan to produce Anime. The engine expects America or Manga — not Cartoon. This is the single most common mistake on this recipe.
  • Deleting Ocean too early. Ocean is used four separate times in the Japan chain — for Island, for Seaweed, and indirectly for Continent. If you clear it after making Island, you will have to rebuild it from Lake.
  • Skipping Continent to save time. Continent appears twice — once for America and once for Land. You cannot reach Japan without it. There is no shortcut around it, no matter which route you pick.
  • Using Asia + Island instead of Land + Sushi. Both work, but Asia + Island needs an extra step through Mountain. Land + Sushi is shorter and reuses Continent from the America chain.
  • Clearing Seaweed after Japan is done. Seaweed and Sushi are both reusable for food-themed recipes later. There is no reason to delete them.
